If you wanted to full maximise on darkness in your room, we would recommend including a blackout blind behind the shutters which helps to provide an extra layer of coverage. Blackout blinds can be seamlessly integrated with your shutters and can be motorised or manual. If you already have shutters, this can easily be included as a separate roller blind.

    Yes. Although we can be certain your window stylings will be a beautiful permanent fixture in your home, we offer a guarantee across all our products. We offer a 5 year guarantee across our shutters range and a 3 year guarantee across all our blinds and curtains.

  • What materials do you use?
    Across our shutters range, we use a combination of both the finest quality solid hardwood and uPVC materials. We tend to recommend using solid hardwood throughout your home with our waterproof uPVC ideal for more moisture rich environments such as bathrooms, wet rooms and kitchens. All our hardwood is FSC-certified and uPVC is fully recyclable.
  • Do you do waterproof shutters?
    Yes, our uPVC shutters are specifically designed for more moisture-rich environments such as bathrooms, wet rooms and kitchens. The material won’t become damaged against exposure to moisture, so you can continue to love your shutters for longer!

    We cover a vast area across London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and parts of Surrey and Essex. If you are outside these areas and would like to make an appointment, please do get in touch and we are more than happy to try and accommodate!
  • Is an appointment free of charge?
    Yes, all our design consultations are completely free of charge with no obligation.
  • Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
    Yes. We understand it isn’t always easy fitting in everything during the day around work, childcare and other commitments, so we do offer weekend and evening appointments if required. Please just let us know at the time of booking your appointment.
  • How long will my appointment take?
    To ensure you have the opportunity to discuss everything you need with us, our design consultations take, on average, around 1 hour, however this can be shorter or longer depending on your requirements.
  • How do I book an appointment?
    It couldn’t be easier! Either give us a call or complete our contacts form and one of our team will be in touch to arrange a suitable time and date with you.
  • Do you offer a finance scheme?
    We don’t currently offer any finance schemes or payment plans.
  • How much do your products cost?
    The cost of our products is based on a wide range of factors from the size of your windows, how many windows you would like to dress to the fabrics and style you choose. At Feather & Grey Interiors, we believe in open and honest pricing, so do not have a hi-lo pricing strategy like other larger companies, nor do we use hard sales techniques. We believe in offering our customers the highest quality products we know they will love for fair and competitive prices. If you would like a quotation, please get in touch with us and we can arrange a design consultation with you.
  • How much deposit will I have to pay?
    If you would like to go ahead with your quotation, we require a 50% deposit with the remaining balance required on installation.
  • Do I need to prepare anything prior to installation?
    All we require is a clear working space; ensuring all windows/doors are free from furniture and other items so our installers can work as efficiently as possible. We would also request that any previous window coverings also be taken down prior to installation. If this isn’t possible, please do let us know.
  • How long will I have to wait for installation?
    Our lead times vary across our products. Our current estimated lead times are below: Solid hardwood shutters - 10-12 weeks. If lead times are a priority for you and you would like to get shutters installed in your home sooner, we do offer a uPVC option which has a shorter lead time of 6 weeks. Blinds - this can vary between 2-4 weeks. You will be advised at the time of your appointment depending on the blinds you have chosen, how long our current lead times are. Curtains - 4-5 weeks. Awnings - 5-6 weeks. As we all know, there are sometimes factors beyond our control that can impact lead times. We will ensure to notify you if, for any reason, these lead times are extended beyond what is anticipated.
  • Who will complete my installation?
    We have a growing team of talented and experienced installers who will complete the installation for you. At the time of making your appointment, we will notify you as to who will be attending.
